Brunei, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, as well as South Korea, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia Holders of ordinary passports from 48 countries including Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia and Latvia can enjoy visa-free entry when coming to China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, exchange visits or transit stays of no more than 30 days.

At present, for people holding ordinary passports in Brunei, China's visa-free policy has not set an implementation period. For Russian holders of ordinary passports, this policy will be in effect until September 14, 2026. As for the holders of ordinary passports from the other 46 countries, the visa-free policy will be extended until December 31, 2026.

►Tourist groups and entry requirements
Friends from all countries who meet the visa-free conditions can enjoy the convenience of entry brought by the visa-free policy, whether through tour groups or individual travel. A valid ordinary passport is required.

The visa-free entry period starts from the day following entry and allows for a continuous stay of 30 natural days in China.

► Passport loss handling
If foreigners who come to China visa-free lose or damage their passports and need to leave the country to exchange for other entry and exit documents, such as passports, emergency passports or travel documents, etc., the Chinese border inspection authorities will strictly verify their identity information, entry records and relevant supporting documents. After confirming that the materials are correct and the party concerned has no illegal acts such as visa-free stay, the exit formalities will be processed for them.
If foreigners who come to China visa-free lose or damage their passports and need to leave the country to exchange for other entry and exit documents, such as passports, emergency passports or travel documents, etc., the Chinese border inspection authorities will strictly verify their identity information, entry records and relevant supporting documents. If there are any illegal acts within the jurisdiction of the border inspection authorities, such as staying beyond the visa-free period, they will be dealt with according to law. As for other illegal circumstances involving public security organs or other competent authorities, the parties involved need to first go to the corresponding departments for handling, and then, with relevant supporting documents, go to the border inspection authority to handle the exit procedures.
